Mechanical Drafter
Gpac is partnered with a global leader in agricultural processing operations. As a Mechanical Drafter, you will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering diagrams for manufactured products, machinery, and mechanical equipment. Your expertise will ensure the highest level of precision and functionality in the design process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls using AutoCAD and 3D SolidWorks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, layout, and resolve component or system issues.
- Review and analyze specifications, sketches, and data to refine designs and processes.
- Utilize mathematical formulas and CAD tools to create accurate and detailed specifications.
- Incorporate instructions, comments, and revisions into drawings to address operational deficiencies or production challenges.
- Create schematic, orthographic, and angle views to illustrate component relationships and system functions.
- Prepare technical illustrations for reference manuals, describing the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems.
- Verify material dimensions and assign identification numbers for production.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in drafting/design or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical drafting and design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is mandatory; experience with 3D SolidWorks is highly valued.
- Strong background in metal fabrication, material handling equipment, and grain systems.
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
